Four Stories

SLIDES

1. Over the years we lose the innocence, which is nothing but the wisdom that God gave us.

2. The author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once was asked to be part of the jury in a contest. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

3. The winner was a 4 year old child, an elderly neighbor whose wife had recently died. The child, seeing the old man mourn in the backyard, came and sat on his lap.

4. When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the child replied ... "Nothing, I just helped him to mourn."

5. The teacher Debbie Moon was studying with her group of first-degree painting of a family. In the painting there was a boy who had hair of different color than the rest of the family members.

6. One of the children in the group suggested that the boy painting was adopted. Then, a girl of the group said, "I know all about adoptions because I'm adopted." "What does being adopted?" Asked another child.

7. "Means" - said the girl - "that you grow in your mom's heart instead of growing in her womb".

8. Jamie was trying to get a part in a play at school. His mother told the child had put his heart into it and she feared he would not be elected.

9. The day that parts of the work were dealt, I was in school. Jamie ran his eyes shining with pride and excitement. "Guess what Mom" cried and then said the words that remain a lesson to me: "I've been chosen to clap and cheer."

10. A 10 year old was standing before a shoe store on the way, barefoot pointing through the window and shivering. A lady approached the boy and said: "My little friend, what are you looking so earnestly in that window?". "I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes," was the response from the child.

11. The lady took him by the hand and entered the store. He asked the employee half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. Asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel. The employee brought him what he requested. She took the child to the back of the store washed his feet and wiped.

12. By then the employee arrived with socks. The lady gave him a pair to a child and bought a pair of shoes. He gathered the rest of socks and gave them to the child. She stroked his head and said: "No doubt little friend that you feel more comfortable now!".

13. When she turned around to leave, the boy grabbed his hand and looking at her with tears in his eyes, asked: "Are you God's wife?".

14. Remember to say "Thank you" ... Thank you Lord, for the person who sent me this message, because it invites me to reflection, and for the opportunity you give me to share with others, and above all, for giving me so friends special and wonderful to share it with.
